Yuichiro Kume, Ph.D.
Yuichiro Kume received BS, MS and Ph.D. in applied physics from Waseda University, in 1978, 1980 and 1985, respectively. After working for Toshiba Corporation, Waseda University, the University of Chicago, Northwestern University and SRI International, he joined Tokyo Institute of Polytechnics, Faculty of Engineering, Department of Photo-Optical Engineering. He has been studying multimodal interfaces, especially using skin sensations, diagnostic x-ray imaging, ophthalmological optics, photoelectronic instrumentation, visually handicapped aids, and virtual environments. His interests also include evaluation and forecast of advanced technologies.
